Brooklyn is my masterpiece. It's an album with a big beat and a big sound! It's a reflection of my own life and my many experiences, and that's big! The title song is a true story about me and my woman going to Brooklyn Bridge for the first time. We were so excited and it turned into a very romantic moment. It's a time that I never forgot! The song is based on a poem I wrote and I wrote the melody on my guitar, but we did the record with a big piano and my vocal.This was a first for me,not actually having a guitar on one of my songs! But it really fit the song and it worked! The minute they played it back for me, I knew it was my masterpiece! It really captures the mood of that special day very long ago,when I fell in love all over again with my sweetheart and with Brooklyn! Even though I love some of the other songs,especially Miss Lonely Heart and the amazing Between You and Me, which features my greatest ever rhythm guitar performance, I still think Brooklyn is the song I've been waiting to write all of my life! All of this album captures the many crazy and amazing things I've experienced. I like to write from experience. Miss Lonely Heart is a real rocker and it hits on some key problems with heart ache and relationships,but in a little bit of a humorous way, and it turned into one of my favorites. These songs all have a big sound and big beat. Bridgeport Girl has a killer electric guitar riff that even shocks me. Did I really write that? Wow,it sounds amazing! All the songs are real good, and I hope you sit back and experience the story of my heart and soul! It's the musical version. This is a rock album filled with more energy and more surprising chord changes than Nostradamus could've predicted; Not Very Thankful is my new rocking masterpiece with a lot of something for everyone that loves super cool rock music!!!!

As they say,practice makes perfect! This is my 4th album in 4 years(no small accomplishment!),and I am just thrilled to be releasing it! Not Very Thankful is an album that has been in the works for many years. It showcases many of my creative styles and approaches to making amazing and magical rock songs. Some of these songs had to be taken from the vault;a few were actually believed lost! But fate always has a way of showing you the way to a happy ending! I can't believe the high quality of writing and performance that makes up these 12 gems. Not Very Thankful,the title track,just jumps out at you like a wild lion! The guitar,then the drums,then the bass and finally the vocal, jump out in an aggressive fashion like I've never heard before! It's a hardcore rock song of anger and disappointment of a failed romantic relationship;so everyone,and I mean everyone,can relate to the anger and angst! My voice never sounded better and the song just rocks out from the first second the the last! Track 2, I Eventually Will,has a similar theme,and just as strong of a driving force behind it;perhaps just a little bit more refined and sophisticated. And then there's Wonderful Lady,an all-time favorite track of my fans,and a true ode to pure admiration and true love. This is a very heartwarming track. So,already,I switch gears,and I keep switching gears throughout this amazing album. My Only One is a wonderful rock ballad;just my vocal and my acoustic guitar. This was a song that almost was lost forever! I'm so happy I rediscovered it. It's a sweet and frank loving gesture and like nothing I've ever written before or since! I Tried(part 2) is another forgotten gem with a killer of a wonderful folk guitar riff:one of the most epic that I have ever written! Can anyone guess the theme?! This is a modern folk/rock/country synthesis of extremely honest and intimate emotions and background settings that will touch all hearts in a deep and moving place.

This is my strongest album,so far! It's incredibly intimate and honest. I'm so happy about the quality of the recordings. This album has been a long road! But it was so worth traveling! I've displayed so many of the emotions that I've experienced over the years! It's a real time capsule into the deepest parts of my heart. I feel like I'm really singing just for the listener this time around! The setting of this album is quite romantic and intimate. But there's no need to fret,because there are some real rockers too! So Long is the lead-off song, and it's a country rock classic. It just might be my favorite recording! And So Many Times is my ode to heavy metal! It's quite loud and charming. I've included 2 killer harmonica songs here, so there's really something for everyone. As I said, this may be my best effort,so far! Please enjoy! Rick
